I wish I had taken photos. What a cool spot in Petrie where the past meets the present and all shops are stuck in time. With an amazing selection of crafts, antiques and places to eat and drink in a bushland setting. This place is known for car and bike shows as well.
Good for young and old alike to walk through the past and realise, recollect and really imagine what life was like 100 + years ago. Good work of reconstructing the past as people lived like back then. Aren't we grateful to be living today with so many modern amenities and practicalities! Imagine never tasting yummy ice cream in all different flavours! Well done, well worth a visit.
This village has great character. From the finely crafted display at 'Do you Bee-lieve?' to the museum that has a great historical display. The cafe serves nice food and is well staffed.
AWESOME PLACE. GREAT ATMOSPHERE.... Very kid, friendly great for families, or singles too! Yesteryear reborn, the way life was but shown in the 21st century to locals and visitors. Loads of parking for anything and everything. A fantastic day out with great food and drinks. Recommend bringing a camera! I lived in the area for 40yrs, but only found it recently... yet it has been there for a long time. I wish I could of got there sooner!!!!! Rate it at 10, out of 10.
This place has some real hidden gems. Slow down, take your time and enjoy the ambience and history. Nature is right here, combined with the experience of a regular well run market every Sunday. And in summer attend the beautiful Moonlight night market.
